Padma Bridge was started to build on 7 December 2014. The length of this bridge is around 6.15 kilometers. The bridge is designed with a four-lane highway and a single railway line. The main material of this bridge is steel.
This Bridge serves for the country's people in many ways. Especially in transportation, communication as well as economics. This bridge connects 22 districts with the capital city of Dhaka. It saves so much time for transportation. All the vehicles of the west-south part of the country had to go through ferry transport system and it killed so much time around by 3 hours. Now vehicles can cross Padma river only through 10 mins.
